This system allows us to send critical communications, to all or targeted areas within the City in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action.  This system is capable of dialing the entire City within minutes.  It delivers a recorded message from the City Manager's office describing the situation and any instructions for immediate or future action.  The message will play when answered by a live person or an answering machine and makes three attempts to connect to each number.  You can opt-in for text message and/or email alerts.

Examples of times when the CodeRED by Crisis24 system can be utilized: 

Drinking water contamination, extended utility outages, evacuation notice and route, missing person, fires, floods, bomb threat, hostage situation, chemical spill or gas leak, and other incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for life safety.

There is an option to also receive GENERAL messages from the City of Weston and Weather Alerts from the National Weather Service. We may send City information to those who have opted to receive the General messages. 

If you reside or own property, including a business within Weston, you are urged to sign up for CodeRED emergency messages.  If you have already registered with CodeRED, please visit the site and UPDATE your information with additional or changed phone numbers.  CodeRED is now able to send text messages to your smartphone.

• Alerts are location-based. You’ll only get alerts if you’re in the affected area - no spam, just relevant info.
• You choose what you get. Pick the types of alerts you want - from community news to emergency warnings.
• Only trusted officials send alerts. Messages come directly from authorized local public safety teams.
• The mobile app is free. Download the CodeRED app from the App Store or Google Play.
• Turn on GPS for real-time alerts. The app can send alerts based on your exact location - wherever you go.

• Tú eliges qué recibes. Elige el tipo de alertas que deseas, desde noticias de la comunidad hasta avisos de emergencia.

• Solo los funcionarios de confianza envían alertas. Los mensajes provienen directamente de equipos locales autorizados de seguridad pública.

• La aplicación móvil es gratuita. Descarga la app CodeRED desde la App Store o Google Play.

• Activa el GPS para recibir alertas en tiempo real. La app puede enviar alertas basadas en tu ubicación exacta, dondequiera que vayas.
