Household Hazardous Waste Materials are not accepted in bulk trash collection or in your regular garbage service collection.
The City of Weston and Broward County host annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronic Recycling Events within the City of Weston each year.

WASTE DISPOSAL & ELECTRONICS
Put aside items that cannot be placed into the trash or put out for bulk pickup, and bring them to the annual FREE Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection event and they will be recycled or disposed of properly without harming the environment. Simply pull up and drop off your items.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) refers to used or leftover contents of consumer products that contain chemicals with one of the four characteristics: Toxic, Ignitable, Corrosive, or Reactive as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency.
What items are being accepted? Oil and latex paints and thinners, used motor oil, auto fluids and gasoline solvents, pesticides, fertilizers, pool chemicals, drain cleaners, tires, mercury, rechargeable & automobile batteries and electronics such as computers and televisions will be accepted.

*maximum of 5 tires accepted per load with rims less than 25 inches in diameter
YOU MAY ALSO DROP OFF THE FOLLOWING ELECTRONICS: Answering machines, computer cables, cell phones, computers (including laptops), copiers, DVD and VCR players, fax machines, flash and hard drives, keyboards/mice, monitors, pagers, print cartridges, printers, radios, routers, satellite/cable boxes, scanners, speakers/stereos, telephones, televisions, wires
ITEMS THAT ARE NOT ACCEPTED:
Business-and government-generated waste, explosives, biohazardous waste, appliances, microwave ovens.
Containers may not exceed five gallons; limit 25 gallons per visit.
In addition to the annual collection events, Weston residents can also dispose of Household Hazardous Waste items throughout the year at collection sites operated by Broward County.
