Flooding is the number one natural disaster in the United States. Flooding can occur anywhere, it does not just affect coastal areas. The Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) addresses flood hazards across the United States by providing information resources and education about flood zones. Know your flood hazard.

National Flood Insurance Program Community Rating System
Weston is one of 22,000+ eligible communities nationwide that have chosen to participate in the voluntary National Flood Insurance Program's (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS) program, which calculates the reality of flood risks. Participation in the CRS provides a discount for property owners through annual compliance and certification with NFIP standards, and community awareness and education of activities that can be done to ultimately reduce the impacts of flooding.
