Permit applications are processed online on the ePermits Portal.  

The permit application must be made at least 30 days prior to the scheduled date of the event (if held on non-residential private property), with a longer lead time required for events on public property.

A City of Weston Special Event Permit Application must be completed at least 30 days prior to the scheduled date of the event (if held on non-residential private property), with a longer lead time required for events on public property.

The application may include the following:

• Weston's Event Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement
• Letter from the owner of the property giving permission to host the event
• Site Plan that includes any of the applicable items: tents, stages, port-o-lets, generators, inflatables, tables, chairs, roadblocks and blocked parking, and the location of food trucks/mobile vendors (if any)
• Copy of Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000, naming the Broward Sheriff’s Office (2601 West Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33312) as an additional insured
• Copy of Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000, naming the City of Weston (17200 Royal Palm Boulevard, Weston, Florida 33326) as an additional insured
• Temporary alcohol license, if serving alcohol
• Building permit (separate application for tent(s) or temporary structures)
• For Food Truck(s) or Mobile Vendor(s) – See the “Moblie Vendors and Food Trucks” section

How to Apply

 Click on "Apply" in the top menu and select "Special Event".  Follow the electronic application process to complete the application online.

Activities and events that include mobile vendors, food trucks or any type of cooking onsite have unique requirements per the BSO Fire Marshal’s Office. 

Depending upon the event, some of the requirements listed in the Special Event Permit Process section may not be required. Additional requirements include:  a list of all food vendors with contact information, state license (copy), and the name and contact information of the liquid propane (LP) inspector.

How to Apply

Select “Apply”, “Special Event Permit” and follow the electronic process to complete the application online.

Staff will notify you of the applicable fee for your permit application. A damage deposit is also required if the event is on public property.

Notification of any extra requests, documentation or applications will be made via the email address you provide in your permit application. 

After review and approval of the application, inspections may be needed by one or more of the following: BSO Fire Marshal, BSO Law Enforcement, Building and/or Zoning.

After your Special Event Permit is issued, be sure to print it out through the ePermit Portal.

All permit documentation should be kept onsite throughout the duration of the event.
