Adult Karate

USA Goju Karate is a practical martial art taught to active adults seeking strength, conditioning and flexibility.  Since 1997, David Schopp, 6th degree Black Belt, has taught in the City of Weston, focusing on the basic principles of self-defense, karate, fighting, and weaponry. A great class for building confidence and self-esteem.

Adult / Teen Posture Exercise Class

Sundays from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

An exercise class designed to correct posture, promote proper alignment and balance muscles.  Can be modified for different levels.

Cartoon Club

Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

A challenging drawing class! Learn how to make your own cartoon character!  Technique and Imagination goes hand to hand on this exciting class, because all artists are storytelling! Student will learn how to draw different characters from geometric shapes and how we can tell a story without words, just by drawing it! Kids will study famous characters and will be challenged to create their own character and their own comic book. Kids and Teens. Students will be separated by skill levels.

Chess Club

Learn to think outside of the box! Develop great mental skills, memory, self-confidence, intuition, motivation, logical & critical thinking, imagination, concentration & reasoning skills. Learn the game in an exciting interactive way. Open to all skill levels.

Code Explorers

Code Explorers Class (Thumb)Ages 8-12

Code Explorers is an inspiring program for any young mind. Participants will learn about the next generation technologies that are starting to impact our wold toady. Young explorers will explore engineering, computer science, and technology while creating, designing, building, and coding unique projects to take home.

Fun in Spanish

Ages 2-5

Learn and practice Spanish with others in a playful, musical and artistic environment.

Futsoc Club

 

Boys and Girls, Ages 6-16

Cost: $200 per week

Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Players learn how to play the game, how to understand the game, and most importantly how to enjoy the game. Passion will bring out the absolute best in youth soccer players and that paired with fun, will have the children coming out willing and wanting to learn every day. We offer all members individual technical skill training to cement the fundamentals of the game, small & full sided games to educate the tactical aspect of the game, and most importantly FUN.

Kidokinetics

The fun way to fitness that’s inspiring kids to get up, get moving and get in shape!  Participants will learn important building blocks for life: discipline, confidence, coordination, fine and gross motor skills, and fitness.

Kidokinetics, Jr. 

Ages: 1-3

Kidokinetics Jr. is a high energy active sports fitness class for toddlers, introducing them to sports and making fitness fun. Songs, sports, and skills are combined, resulting in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.

Realism Drawing
Summer 2019
Cost: $175 for 6 weeks
Location: Weston Community Center, 20200 Saddle Club Road
Thursdays from 7:30 p.m until 9:30 p.m.

Class is designed to guide students of all levels using challenging exercises and interesting compositions working in graphite and charcoal. Learn different lessons working from still life and casts to achieve textures, glass, fur, feathers, drapery and various objects. Students will learn to sharpen their focus and be guided to work towards the goal of achieving realism in their drawings through traditional and old masters techniques.

SAT Preparation Class

August 11 through October 3
Cost: $475 for 8 weeks, including text book and materials
Location:    Weston Community Center, 20200 Saddle Club Road
Sundays from 10:30 a.m until 1:00 p.m. or Thursdays from 7:15 p.m until 9:45 p.m

This course prepares students for all facets of the most recent version of the SAT for success on total score and section scores.  Instructor Jeff Steinberg originally developed this program and has taught this program in Weston since 2001 with remarkable results.  He thoroughly reviews content and practical strategies for scoring well on the exam.

Watercolor Painting
