Does the City have special assessments?

Yes, the City has special assessments. The City assesses property owners for services such as solid waste and recycling collection, fire protection and inspection services, and operating costs for the Bonaventure or Indian Trace Development Districts. Charges are collected as a non-ad valorem assessment on the annual property tax bill.
Does the City of Weston have any kind of assistance or counseling programs?

The City of Weston does not offer any kind of assistance programs other than the first buyer/home repair assistance program facilitated by Broward County.

You can do so by sending in a city of Weston estoppel request (available on website) and follow the instructions on the form.

No. The Bonaventure Development District is not considered a Community Development District. The Bonaventure Development District was legally created under Florida Statute, Chapter 189 as a Dependent Special District. Community Development Districts (CDD) are created under Chapter 190.
