The City of Weston Finance Department is managed by Darrel Thomas, Assistant City Manager / Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer supervises the areas of Building Code Services, Finance and Cash Management, Risk Management and Technology Services.

The City of Weston’s Budget Director, Bryan Cahen, is responsible for preparing and managing the annual fiscal year budgets for the City of Weston and the City’s two development districts. He also oversees the strategic planning process, including long-range business plans that are part of the annual budget preparation, and the City’s Business Tax Receipt program, which is administered by the Business Tax Coordinator.

Weston is proud to be recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association for excellence in financial reporting for its thorough preparation of the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and has received the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting, the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, annually.

The City contracts with Municipal Technologies, LLC for a range of finance and administrative support services, including accounting, accounts receivable/payable, Business Tax Receipt administration and financial reporting.
