Capital Improvement

Multi-Year Project:  2022-2026  |  Capital Improvement

Stormwater system rehabilitation and hardening of Indian Trace Development District (ITDD) Pump Stations that are critical for the City’s flood control. This rehabilitation project will extend service life of critical stormwater infrastructure and includes the following enhancements:

  • Rehabilitation of underwater pump stations infrastructure
  • Rehabilitation of building structures housing the pump facilities
  • Replacement of deteriorated noise walls to minimize noise pollution to the surrounding residential communities
  • Upgrade fuel systems for operational redundancy
  • Pump engines overhaul/rehabilitation
  • Stabilize canal banks adjoining pump stations

HIGHLIGHTS:

Estimated Project Cost:  $3,100,000
   Grant - 50%
   City - 50%

Status:   The first project is currently in the Request for Proposal development.  It is anticipate that construction will begin in December.

Traffic Impacts:  None

Benefits:  Hardening of stormwater infrastructure critical to the City’s flood control and protection and provide resiliency to mitigate anticipated increase in frequency and intensity of future flood events.
