The Broward Sheriff’s Office Weston University Police Services Academy summer program for Weston students came to a close on August 21st with a brief graduation ceremony, complete with recognition certificates for students, and of course:  cake! 

Weston District Chief Kevin Butler attended the ceremony and congratulated each student personally and thanked them for their participation.  Deputy Kari Pallotto who each year runs the program in Weston for the Broward Sheriff's Office, was proud to see another class of young student graduate with positive personal experiences in law enforcement. 

The 8-week, hands-on program introduced students to law enforcement and the Broward Sheriff’s Office with lectures and field trips that include defensive tactics, DUI/D.A.R.E, crime scene investigations, internet safety, and various tours.  Pictured below are students at the graduation, participating in crime scene investigation, and watching a K-9 demonstration.
