MAP Broward is the 30-year program resulting from the Penny for Transportation Surtax approved by Voters.   

Many may recall the logo to the left — the “Penny For Transportation”— used during the educational campaign in 2018.

But the multi-faceted Mobility Advancement Program is in motion. The familiar slogan, “brought to you by the penny for transportation” remains; a great reminder that the thousands of mobility improvements delivered are indeed brought to Broward thanks to the support of voters.

The “MAP” in MAP Broward is not just an acronym for Mobility Advancement Program, but it is also a reminder that implementing innovative, world-class mobility solutions can put Broward on the MAP!

The Five Goals of the MAP Program are:

1. Create Connectivity

2. Improve Transit Service

3. Traffic System Management

4. Enhance Multimodal Options

5. Ensure Economic Development and Benefits
