BSO Weston Explorers Post 44 participated in the Florida Association of Police Explorers Delegates Training in Lakeland, Florida in September.  The event involved 20 Explorer posts from across the state, which includes local police departments, county sheriff’s offices, state law enforcement and federal agencies.   The training allowed each Explorer to fine tune their skills in the areas of Traffic Stops, Officer Down, Building Search, Active Shooter and In-Progress crimes. The hosting agency, Lakeland PD, also included interactive static displays such as a SWAT Robot and Drones.

These training's encourage the Explorers to engage with other posts as well as test their skills and knowledge as they come together as a team, with a common goal in mind.

For the first time, the Association held a Physical Agility Team Competition which contained a demanding obstacle course.  BSO Weston is proud to announce that Weston Post 44 took 1st PLACE with a time of 1:43 seconds.  The team consisted of Explorers Santiago Amoretti, Jeremy Hernandez, Daniel Gonzalez and Kyle Montero (pictured below).  Congratulations are in order for all participants as they competed to the best of their abilities, with teamwork and integrity.  They are all winners in our eyes.
