Status of City Services

    • All City of Weston Administrative Offices re-opened on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 to full service.
    • Normal Garbage and Recycling collection began on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

How to Help Disaster Areas

THE BROWARD COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD in collaboration with the Broward Education Foundation, United Way of Broward County and BrightStar Credit Union, is working to collect and deliver donations and resources to assist with Hurricane Dorian recovery efforts in the Bahamas.  Click below for a list of drop off locations at credit unions and the Broward Education Foundation Supply Center within Broward.

Broward County Public Schools is ready to help families register their children for school. A welcome center has been established at The Lauderdale Manors Early Learning & Resource Center, 1400 NW14th Court, in Fort Lauderdale. The Florida Department of Health in Broward County will be onsite providing immunizations, WIC eligibility and linkage to other services on Tuesday, September 10, 3PM- 6PM, Wednesday, September 11, 8AM to Noon, and Friday, September 13, 10AM - 1PM.

BROWARD COUNTY

Broward County’s 311 Call Center is still taking questions about hurricane relief including items needed and donation drop off points. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5PM. Call 311 or 954-831-4000.

Broward County has created a website, Broward.org/DorianRelief, which includes the Bahamian government’s official list of supplies needed, and a list of drop off locations being managed by municipalities and other organizations.

United Way of Broward County is accepting monetary donations, collections of supplies, and is recruiting volunteers to assist inn sorting supplies.
