Christmas in July
Homeless Kids are Counting on Us
Homeless kids are hoping you can donate generously,
no matter how big or how small.
Christmas in July is right around the corner and Broward’s homeless kids are hoping that you will donate generously no matter how big or small. The number of homeless children in our community is at an all-time high, and their needs are critical. Next time you stop and shop for your family, won’t you pick up an extra something NEW for them? Underwear, shoes, diapers, pants, dresses, socks, toiletries, school supplies, readable books and toys. Please drop-off your donations in the collection boxes at Broward County Libraries, Government Centers as well as several other County locations. Your generosity makes all the difference for those who are in need.
One of the most devastating consequences of homelessness is the impact it can have on a child's education. Frequent school transfers and the stigma associated with living in a shelter add to great hardship for these children. Many begin the school year with no backpacks and few, if any, school supplies or new clothes.
Show Broward County’s children, newborn to 19 years that you care! Support Christmas in July, an annual initiative to help homeless children in our community. The Christmas in July collection drive helps school-age children get ready for a new school year, and also provides for children under the age of 5. Collection boxes are located at all Broward County Libraries and other County facilities, through Friday July 12th.
The collection program ends on Friday, July 12th, so if you want to donate, please do so soon.
