Register to Vote/Change Party Affiliation: Deadline July 20, 2026

Florida's Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. If you need to register to vote or change your political party affiliation, the deadline to do so is Monday, July 20, 2026. Because Florida is a closed primary state, voters must be registered with a political party by the July 20 deadline to vote in that party's primary (with limited exceptions for nonpartisan races and universal primaries).

- Vote by Mail ballots can be requested online, by phone, by mail, or in person through the Broward County Supervisor of Elections.
- If returning your ballot by mail, election officials recommend mailing it at least one week before Election Day to ensure it arrives on time.
- You may also return your completed ballot to a secure Broward County ballot drop box before 7 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots cannot be dropped off at your polling place on Election Day unless you are surrendering the ballot to vote in person.

Early Voting for the Primary Election
Early voting period: August 8 through 16, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voting in Person on Primary Election Day, August 18
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. You must vote at your assigned polling location.

City of Weston Municipal Election on November 3, 2026
City of Weston municipal elections will also be held on the General Election Day. Weston voters will vote for Commission Seat Three and Commission Seat Four.
The following candidates have qualified for the November 3, 2026 Municipal Election and will be on the ballot.

Voter Identification Required at All Election Sites
Early Voting and Election Day Precincts
Acceptable Forms of Photo ID Include the Following:
- Florida Driver License
- Florida ID Card (issued by DHSMV)
- U.S. Passport
- Debit or Credit Card
- Military ID
- Student ID
- Retirement Center ID
- Neighborhood Association ID
- Public Assistance ID
- Veteran Health ID (issued by the US Department of Veterans Affairs)
- Concealed Weapon License (issued pursuant to F.S. 790.06)
- Employee ID card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the Federal Government, the state, a county, or a municipality.
If your photo ID does not include your signature, you will be asked to provide another ID that has your signature. If you do not bring your ID, you may still vote, however, you will be required to vote a provisional ballot, which will later be evaluated by a canvassing board for eligibility.
