The City of Weston is moving forward with the Bonaventure Boulevard Milling and Resurfacing Project, an important roadway improvement initiative designed to enhance driving conditions and extend the life of the roadway.

Beginning Sunday, June 7, 2026, paving operations will take place nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. along Bonaventure Boulevard between Griffin Road and Indian Trace. Work is expected to continue through July 7, 2026.

The project includes roadway milling and resurfacing, replacement of pavement markings, and rehabilitation of sidewalks and curb ramps within the project limits. These improvements will help provide a smoother driving surface, improve roadway safety and increase the long-term durability of the corridor.

To minimize impacts to residents and motorists, all work will be completed in phases and lane closures will occur only during non-peak hours. No full roadway closures are anticipated. Access to homes, businesses and emergency services will be maintained at all times throughout construction.

Roadway resurfacing projects play an important role in maintaining the City's transportation infrastructure. By addressing pavement wear and improving roadway conditions, these improvements help reduce potholes and cracking, enhance vehicle safety through improved traction and pavement markings, and contribute to a better overall driving experience.

Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to use caution, follow posted signage and allow for additional travel time during nighttime construction activities.
