June 11 - July 19, 2026

Post Date:04/24/2026 1:17 PM

The World Cup

104 matches. 48 countries. 16 Host Cities.  Held in 3 countries.

The FIFA World Cup 2026, will be the largest sporting event in history, expanding from 64 to 104 matches, lasting 39 days, also making it the longest World Cup ever.   It's impact?  Many compare it to having 104 Super Bowls all in one month.

The World Cup (played every four years) will have HUGE impacts and it is hard to conceptualize something just so vast, and with such a world-wide reach.   The World Cup final is one of the most-watched sporting event in the world. It is estimated that 1.4 billion viewers watched the 2022 tournament, with 1.5 billion viewers world-wide who watched the final match between Argentina and France.  The 2026 World Cup is drawing record breaking predictions.  It is anticipated that 5 billion people will watch this year's World Cup at some time during the events.

The World Cup is a regional economic moment, lasting a full month.  It is not just a stadium event.  Residents and visitor will stay, eat, and shop in their own hometown, not just host venues.

Emotional Engagement  -  Soccer is a passion and a shared experience.

The City of Weston has an international population.  Football (soccer) is more popular than ever. Miami is a World Cup Host City.  The demand is built in.

Fans (and want-to-be fans alike) are looking to watch matches, but they want more than that.  They are looking for a community experience, they want cultural immersion.  They want convenience.  Without a ticket to the match, they are looking for places to meet up easily.  And they want it to be memorable - this is going out on their social media posts too!
