Broward County Transit’s Late Shift Connect program provides direct transportation for late shift workers to or from their places of employment when regular transit service is generally not available.
Late Shift Connect customers can request up to 10 one-way work trips per week within Broward County from authorized transportation providers if their work shift begins or ends between 9PM – 7AM, Monday through Friday or 8PM – 7AM, Saturday through Sunday. After the first $2 for each trip is deducted from the user’s Late Shift Connect online account balance, Late Shift Connect pays the remaining metered balance up to a maximum of $30 per trip.
- Late Shift Connect taxi fare subsidy increased up to $30 per taxi trip.
- Late Shift Connect taxi trips increased from 5 trips per week to 7 trips per week.
- Late Shift Connect Program eligibility expanded to include workers who begin or end their work shifts in Broward County during the following times:
- 9:00pm-7:00am Monday - Friday
- 8:00pm-7:00am Saturday - Sunday
- If you work at more than one job location or have another employer in Broward County during the Late Shift Hours, you may add another work address by contacting LateShiftConnect@broward.org.
What is Late Shift Connect?
Late Shift Connect is a Broward County Transit (BCT) Program that provides on-demand and direct transportation for late shift workers when regular transit service is generally not available. BCT operates bus service, that begins at approximately 6:00am and ends at approximately 11:00pm. There is, however, a need for transportation to and from work outside of these hours. The Program is a new approach to providing critical access to employment for those residents.
Who is eligible for Late Shift Connect?
A Broward resident who works the late shift in Broward is eligible for Late Shift Connect. Your contact information as well as employer address are required.
When is Late Shift Connect available?
The Late Shift Connect card can be used during the late shift hours 9:00pm-7:00am Monday through Friday and 8:00pm-7:00am Saturday and Sunday for up to 10 trips per week in Broward County.
