We are pleased to announce that the Bonaventure Park Playground has officially reopened to the public following the completion of a capital improvement project designed to enhance comfort and usability for park visitors.

This project included the installation of five new shade structures over and around the playground area. The shades were strategically placed to provide relief from the sun, some directly above playground equipment to help keep it cooler during play, and others positioned near park benches to offer comfortable seating areas for parents and caregivers watching their children.

These new features create a more enjoyable environment for families and visitors alike, encouraging longer, safer playtime even on sunny days.

Please note that the tallest play feature at the center of the playground could not be covered due to height limitations under current building code requirements. However, the new shade structures provide ample coverage across most of the playground’s active and seating areas.
