September is Hunger Action Month.

Hunger Action Month brings people together to help raise awareness,
that in EVERY county in the US, people are food insecure and go hungry. 
 
It is a nationwide movement to end hunger in our communities.
Together, we can make a difference.

THE FACTS: 

• There are more than 250,000 people in Broward County facing hunger issues (78,880 of them are children)
  
  
• About 73% of food-insecure households choose between food and their home utilities
  
  
• An estimated 69% of food bank-assisted households had to choose between food and transportation
  
  
• 100% of counties in the US - food insecurity is in every community in the United States
  
  
• All Broward County Libraries and Weston City Hall are accepting non-perishable foods in September
