Hunger Action Month brings people together to help raise awareness,
that in EVERY county in the US, people are food insecure and go hungry.
It is a nationwide movement to end hunger in our communities.

THE FACTS:
- There are more than 250,000 people in Broward County facing hunger issues (78,880 of them are children)
- About 73% of food-insecure households choose between food and their home utilities
- An estimated 69% of food bank-assisted households had to choose between food and transportation
- 100% of counties in the US - food insecurity is in every community in the United States
- All Broward County Libraries and Weston City Hall are accepting non-perishable foods in September
