City of Weston Celebrates Statewide Recognition for Events and Marketing

The City of Weston is proud to announce that several of its signature events and publications have been recognized with SUNsational Awards from the Florida Festivals & Events Association (FFEA). The awards were presented during FFEA’s 31st Annual Convention, which honors innovation, creativity, and collaboration among festivals and events throughout Florida.

Weston earned awards across multiple categories:

• 2024 Hometown Fireworks Celebration- 1st Place, Photo (by Elisabeth Mitrano, City of Weston Department of Communications); 3rd Place, Photo Op Area (created by My Fab Events)

• 2024 Hometown Fourth of July Parade – 2nd Place, Photo (by Steve L. Romero for the City of Weston)

• Weston@Play Parks and Recreation Guide - Fall 2024 and Winter/Spring 2025 editions – 1st Place, Event Brochure  (Design by Oscar Lievano Designs in collaboration with the City of Weston Departments of Communication and Parks and Recreation)

• 2024 Rotary Run for Tomorrow / Health & Fitness Festival – 3rd Place, Promotional Item  (collapsable water bottle)

Over 200 events statewide submitted entries, judged by a panel of media, design, and marketing professionals. Weston’s recognition reflects the City’s dedication to creating high-quality, memorable experiences that foster community spirit.

“The SUNsational Awards have recognized and celebrated the talents of our members for more than two decades,” said Suzanne Neve, CEO of the FFEA. “This year in particular was incredibly rewarding as we showcased the innovation and resilience of festival and event organizers throughout the state.”
