As summer winds down, parents are gearing up for the start of a new school year. Starting this year, Florida’s back to school sales tax holiday will be in effect throughout the month of August. Tax-free items include clothing ($100 or less), personal computers and related accessories ($1,500 or less), and a variety of school supplies ($50 or less).

The list of eligible items is extensive.  Please refer to the Tax Information Publication (TIP) #25A01-08 Date Issued 7/17/25 for the full list of all items exempt from taxation.
