The Grand Marshal for Weston's 2025
Hometown Fourth of July Celebration Parade is ...
Steve Goldstein, Florida Panthers Play-by-Play Announcer

The City of Weston is thrilled to announce that Steve Goldstein, the voice of the Florida Panthers and a proud Weston resident, will serve as Grand Marshal of the 2025 Hometown Fourth of July Celebration Parade. Affectionately known to hockey fans as “Goldie,” Steve Goldstein has been the play-by-play announcer for the Florida Panthers for over two decades, bringing energy, excitement, and a deep love for the game to South Florida sports fans. His iconic calls have become part of Panthers history, and now, he brings that same hometown pride to our city’s most spirited celebration.
This year’s parade theme - Red, White, Blue and Weston Proud - celebrates the patriotic spirit and community pride that defines our city. There’s no better person to lead the way than Goldie himself — an enthusiastic ambassador not just for hockey, but for Weston. His dedication to community, commitment to excellence, and love for our city truly embody what it means to be Weston Proud. In addition to his work in the world of sports broadcasting, he is the Founder and Chairman of Goldie’s Gang Foundation, which provides assistance to children and families throughout South Florida.
Join us on the morning of Friday, July 4, 2025, for a family-friendly event full of festive floats, marching bands, and local organizations, all celebrating America’s birthday in true Weston style. The parade steps off at 10:30 a.m. Be there to cheer on our Grand Marshal and all of our parade entries as we come together for Weston's favorite annual tradition. Be sure to give a warm Weston welcome to Steve "Goldie" Goldstein.
