City of Weston Welcomes Newly Elected City Commissioner Fabio A. Andrade
The City of Weston proudly welcomes Fabio A. Andrade as its newly elected City Commissioner following the recent November election.
Commissioner Andrade brings a wealth of experience and dedication to serving the community, with a focus on collaboration and maintaining Weston’s reputation as one of the most desirable places to live, work, and raise a family. A long-time Weston resident, Commissioner Andrade has been actively involved in community development, fostering connections among residents and advocating for initiatives that enhance quality of life.
Fabio Andrade has been actively involved in civic engagement, serving on various committees and initiatives that have shaped the city’s growth. His 40-year professional career in aviation includes pivotal roles at JetBlue Airways and Grupo TACA. He currently serves as Vice President of Public and Community Relations for World Atlantic Airlines.
Family values and community service are central to Commissioner Andrade's life. He and his wife, Lucia, married for 44 years, are proud parents to beautiful grown daughters, Cassandra and Alexis, who grew up enjoying the parks, schools, and vibrant community Weston is known for. They now dote on their six grandchildren. The Andrade family is deeply rooted in the city, and their commitment to preserving and enhancing Weston’s quality of life is unwavering.
An advocate & advisor on U.S.-Colombia relations for Florida’s Congressional delegation, Andrade has championed the needs of Weston’s growing Latin American population. Andrade co-founded the Americas Community Center (ACC) in 1998, a nonprofit that has supported over 15,000 Hispanic professionals with business challenges and job opportunities.
Commissioner Andrade is passionate about ensuring Weston remains a thriving and inclusive community for generations to come.
