How To Get Help
Call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 (para ayuda en español, llame al 988). The Lifeline provides 24-hour, confidential support to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. No matter where you live in the United States, you can reach a trained crisis counselor who can help.

Depression Symptoms and Suicide among Florida Youth, from the Florida Youth Substance Abuse Survey.
In 2023, 8.1% of Florida students reported at least one suicide attempt during the past year.
In Broward County, data from 2022 show that 55% of girls and 30% of boys indicated feeling sad or depressed on most days, and that 8.3% of girls and 4.2% of boys reported a suicide attempt in the past year.
