We are so pleased to announce that our very own Mayor Brown has been elected by her peers as the President-Elect of the Florida League of Mayors. This prestigious honor reflects her dedication, leadership, and commitment to our community, and it positions her to play a significant role in shaping the future of cities throughout Florida.

Mayor Brown will serve with President Nancy Miller of Daytona Beach Shores for the coming year, and then will assume the President role for the 2025-2026 year. As President-Elect, and then President, Mayor Brown will work closely with other mayors across the state to address key issues, advocate for our communities, and foster collaboration among Florida’s municipalities. This leadership role also highlights the respect and trust she has earned from fellow mayors statewide.

Created in 2005, the Florida League of Mayors is an organization for Mayors, founded and developed by Mayors. The organization provides the Mayors of Florida with the ability to explore, in depth, areas of mutual concern and opportunity. The membership statement is vision, leadership and public service. The Florida League of Mayors is governed by a Board of Directors and the membership is held by the municipality and the Mayor is the primary participating member.

Mayors are provided leadership training, educational instruction and professional networking opportunities. The Florida League of Mayors fosters an environment that promotes cooperation for the general improvement and efficient administration of Florida’s municipalities.
