Weston Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday:
Louis Miller's Century of Remarkable Achievements

On August 15, 2024, Weston resident Louis Miller reached an extraordinary milestone: his 100th birthday. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1924, Louis's life journey is one filled with adventure, talent, and resilience. Despite losing his father at a young age and being raised by his mother alongside his four siblings, Louis developed a love for reading, fueled by his brother who worked in bookbinding, and a passion for music, ignited by another brother who gifted him a saxophone.

At 18, Louis enlisted in the Army during World War II, where he trained in Medical Administration. On D-Day, he played a crucial role in caring for the wounded and later served in a hospital in Germany. His musical talents led him to perform with the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra, entertaining troops and playing at prestigious venues like the Mozart Opera House in Salzburg and Wagner's Festival Hall in Germany.

After his military service, Louis attended the Brooklyn Academy of Music and pursued a career in music before transitioning to the automotive industry, becoming a car salesman for Ford in New Jersey. In 1967, he opened his own dealership, Lou Miller Ford. A devoted family man, Louis faced personal tragedies, losing his wife and two children, yet he remains filled with positivity and vitality. Even at 92, he was still playing tennis.

Today, Louis enjoys a quieter life in Weston at The Palace, spending his days reading, solving puzzles, and attending lectures. The City of Weston, proudly celebrates Louis Miller's 100th birthday, honoring his incredible contributions and the rich legacy he continues to build.
