It's Time to Renew Your Annual Local Business Tax Receipt
July 1 marks the beginning of the 2025 renewal season for the Local Business Tax Receipt for all Weston businesses. Invoices will be generated for all LBTR holders in the City. Be on the lookout for the renewal email, which will contain your invoice and payment instructions. If you do not receive an email by mid-August, please log in to your account, click on Search, and select Local Business Tax Receipt to verify the balance due to renew your Local Business Tax Receipt for the upcoming year.
You will notice that the renewal fee has changed. While the State of Florida allows municipalities to raise the annual rate by 5% every two years, this year is only the sixth time since Weston was incorporated (in 1996) that the Local BTR fee has increased.
Deadline to Renew is September 30, 2024
In order to remain an active LBTR holder, business owners must pay the renewal fee by September 30, 2024. Penalties will be imposed on all unpaid balances beginning October 1. AVOID the penalties and pay as soon as possible.
