Starting March 4, 2024, the City of Weston Public Works Department will oversee contractors that will begin the paint stripping, flushing, and repainting of fire hydrants in the following communities: 

Windmill Reserve Estates
Isles of Weston
Windmill Lakes Estates
Courtyard Homes at the Grove
The Ridges
Emerald Estates, and
Windmill Ranch Estates  

The process begins with removal of the old paint from the fire hydrant, which is completed with a special attachment that fits right over the hydrant. The contractor, Plug Hug, will work 8 AM – 5 PM each day.  

Next will be flushing of the hydrants to exercise the valves, and then the spray painting of each hydrant by R&M Service Solutions.
