QUARTERLY RESIDENTIAL BULK TRASH PICKUP

October 2017

 

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES and Multi-Family Units with Curbside Collection:

Due to hurricane debris, it will likely take longer than dates listed to complete.

* Wednesday, October 18th 
* Thursday, October 19th
* Friday, October 20th  

Bulk waste must be generated by the customer at the Residential Curbside Service Unit and cannot exceed six (6) cubic yards per Residential Curbside Service Unit.  Vegetative matter must be below 6" in diameter (example tree branch must be less than 6" in diameter)  Bulk Waste excludes contractor-generated waste and does not include HOA common areas.


Multi-Family Units with DUMPSTERS:

* Saturday, October 21st

Must be generated by the customer and at the Residential Containerized Service Unit. Vegetative matter must be below 6" in diameter (example tree branch must be less than 6" in diameter)  Bulk Waste excludes contractor-generated waste.

Pick up occurs on your regularly scheduled collection day.  All items should be curbside by 7:00 AM on pick up day.

Bulk items include but are not limited to:

 

  • Furniture, mattresses, carpets and other large household items.
  • Large and small appliances, such as dishwashers, laundry machines and stoves.
  • Refrigerators or air conditioners must have Freon removed by a certified dealer.
  • Mirrors, glass, glass top tables, windowpanes, and plate glass items should be safely placed in a rigid container to facilitate safe collection.
  • Vegetative debris such as tree branches, palm fronds, etc. generated by the homeowner, not by a landscape contractor (Tree branches must be less than 6" in diameter)

 NOT COLLECTED: Bulk items DO NOT include contractor-generated material, or vegetative waste (landscape materials) or household hazardous waste (HHW).

THINK BEFORE YOU THROW – CONSIDER DONATING

Help those in need, keep items out of the waste stream, and get a tax deduction. Several national organizations will even pick-up directly from your residence – you don’t have to wait for bulk pick-up day! There are many local, well-established charitable organizations that readily accept donated items.
