75 Express Project: Traffic Impacts in Weston Area through March 24

75 EXPRESS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT INFORMATION

Weston Area Traffic Impacts through Friday, March 24th:

  • Two northbound lanes of I-75 from north of Indian Trace along northbound Sawgrass Expressway and eastbound I-595 ramp will be closed Sunday, March 19th through Thursday, March 23rd between 9 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.

  • Three northbound lanes of I-75 from north of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard to I-595 will be closed Sunday, March 19th through Thursday, March 23rd between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • Three northbound lanes of I-75 from north of Royal Palm Boulevard to north of Indian Trace will be closed Sunday, March 19th through Thursday, March 23rd between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • Two northbound lanes of I-75 from north of Royal Palm Boulevard to I-595 will be closed Sunday, March 19th through Thursday, March 23rd between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Two northbound lanes of I-75 from north of Royal Palm Boulevard to north of Indian Trace will be closed Sunday, March 19th through Thursday, March 23rd between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • The eastbound ramp of I-595 from northbound I-75 will be closed intermittently Sunday, March 19th through Friday, March 24th between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.  Motorists will be detoured to exit at Royal Palm Boulevard (Exit 15) and travel west on Royal Palm Boulevard to Weston Road, north on Weston Road to State Road 84 and east on SR 84 to enter I-595 eastbound just east of SW 136 Avenue.

  • All northbound lanes of I-75 (to Naples) from north of Royal Palm Boulevard will be closed Sunday, March 19th through Friday, March 24th between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.  Motorists will be detoured to exit at Royal Palm Boulevard (Exit 15) and travel west on Royal Palm Boulevard to Weston Road, north on Weston Road to State Road 84 and west on SR 84 to re-enter I-75 northbound.

Description: This 15-mile project will add four tolled managed lanes in the I-75 median from NW 170 Street in northern Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County. The work will be completed in four segments to minimize the impact to the public. This project includes entrance and exit access points to the express lanes; a bridge with a direct connection to 595 Express; integrated Intelligent Transportation System and tolling components; noise barrier walls at various locations and new signage, lighting, drainage and landscaping improvements. Project Benefits

This project will complete another section of the South Florida managed lanes network for all motorists and will improve mobility, relieve congestion, provide additional travel options and accommodate future growth in the area. 

The 75 Express Lanes project extends 15 miles along I-75 from NW 170 Street, in Miami-Dade County, to I-595, in Broward County.  Work will be completed in four segments to minimize affects to the public.

Construction began early 2014 and is scheduled to be completed by mid-2019.  The total project is estimated to cost $536 million.
