When:   Saturday, July 4th

Where:    Weston Regional Park, 20200 Saddle Club Road

Time:      Race starts at 7:00am.  Race day registration begins at 5:30am.

Description:  An out and back course which is flat and fast!
 

Pre-Race Registration:

Cost:  $15 early registration (through June 15th); $20 through July 3rd (online registration will close at 7 a.m. on July 3rd).  Race day registration is $25 per person and will begin onsite at 5:30am.

2015 WESTON’S ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY HOMETOWN PARADE

This year's theme: “Celebrating Our Grand Old Flag”! 

Grand Marshal: Rick Folbaum, resident and Anchor, CBS 4 News, Miami.

 

Join us at the City of Weston’s Annual 4th of July Hometown Parade!  Participants including elected leaders, local businesses, civic groups, schools, bands, organizations and residents gather to march in Weston’s biggest and most exciting event.  Show off your pride in our country - wear your red, white and blue and come out and cheer on parade participants.

The parade begins promptly at 10:30AM at the corner of Town Center Blvd. and Three Village Road, continuing east on Three Village Road to Bonaventure Blvd. then heading south briefly to Bell Tower Lane.  The parade culminates by winding through Weston Town Center to the heart of Main Street where hundreds gather for the fun.

Interested Parade Participants:  All groups, organizations, businesses and bands are welcome!  Join us for a 4th of July tradition, and walk or ride with our Grand Marshal Mr. Rick Folbaum, resident and Anchor, CBS 4 News in Weston's biggest and most exciting event of the year.  Registration is FREE, and the deadline to enter is Friday, June 19th. Parade spaces fill up quickly, so register today!

Start now… put a group together and fill out the form.  Large, small, elaborate or simple - your entry will be special.  Everyone loves a parade, so plan on being a part of the celebration.

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES and Multi-Family Units with Curbside Collection:

* wednesday, july 22nd

Multi-Family Units with DUMPSTERS:

* Saturday, july 25th

Pick up occurs on your regularly scheduled collection day.  All items should be curbside by 7:00am on pick up day.

Bulk items include but are not limited to:

  • Furniture, mattresses, carpets and other large household items.
  • Large and small appliances, such as dishwashers, laundry machines and stoves.
  • Refrigerators or air conditioners must have Freon removed by a certified dealer.
  • Mirrors, glass, glass top tables, windowpanes, and plate glass items should be safely placed in a rigid container to facilitate safe collection.

NOT COLLECTED: Bulk items DO NOT include contractor-generated material, or vegetative waste (landscape materials) or household hazardous waste (HHW). Vegetative/Landscape waste is collected with your regular garbage collection.        

THINK BEFORE YOU THROW – CONSIDER DONATING

Help those in need, keep items out of the waste stream, and get a tax deduction. Several national organizations will even pick-up directly from your residence – you don’t have to wait for bulk pick-up day! There are many local, well-established charitable organizations that readily accept donated items.
