BSO Sheriff's District VIII

The City of Weston is one of the safest cities in South Florida. Weston contracts with the Sheriff of Broward County for the provision of law enforcement services, being a part of the Sheriff's District VIII, headquartered in our City owned Police Services Building. The Broward Sheriff's Office in Weston works tirelessly to ensure that Weston residents feel safe in their homes and throughout our community.


The Weston district headquarters is staffed and open twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. Inquiries regarding police matters may be made at the Weston district headquarters during the hours of 9am-5pm; the lobby is open from 6:30am-10:30pm. Emergency and non-emergency calls are answered at and dispatched from the Sheriff's Public Safety Building located in Fort Lauderdale.

Weston Police Services
Residents - Please lock your vehicles - Car burglaries in residential neighborhoods tend to be a crime of opportunity, due to the fact that many people leave items in their vehicle, and their vehicle unlocked. Weston is a very safe community - but residents must still be vigilant of crime prevention. Whether in your driveway or parked on the street, always lock your car when it is unattended.

Being a part of the Sheriff's organization, the City is able to have the use of, at no additional expense, all of the specialized services offered by the Sheriff, to include aviation, canine, underwater rescue, bomb and arson, SWAT, mounted patrol.

The Sheriff's Office offers many community service programs to residents, including Citizens on Patrol (COPS), Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.), crime prevention programs and activities, vehicle identification etching, and bicycle registration.
