ELECTION INFORMATION

Regular city elections will be held on the same date as the November general election, in even-numbered years.

The next General Election is scheduled for:

November 2010
 

City Commission Election and Term of Office: Each Commissioner and the Mayor are elected at-large for 4-year terms. All registered Weston voters may vote for a candidate in each open seat. The City is divided into four areas as delineated on Commission Residential Seat Area map and assigned numbered seats 1, 2, 3, and 4. One Commissioner shall be elected to each Seat.

To qualify to run for election for a Commission Seat, a person must be a resident of the Residential Area that he/she is running for, and have resided continuously within the Residential Area for which election is being sought for at least one year preceding the date of filing.

*Election for Seat 3 and Seat 4 is November 2010.

VOTER REGISTRATION / INFORMATION

Voter registration is handled through the office of the Broward County Supervisor of Elections. Voter registration applications are available on the Supervisor of Elections website, at City Hall and at all county libraries and drivers license bureaus.
