RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES

The City of Weston has a very strict Tree Preservation Ordinance in place to ensure the preservation of the look and feel of Weston’s landscaped environment and to encourage the development of a tree canopy throughout the City.

Many residents are unsure if they can or cannot remove trees on their own property. City Ordinance, Chapter 154 DOES allow for the removal of any tree other than a specimen tree (which requires a permit), on owner-occupied residential properties of 1.5 acres or less; single-family homes or duplexes only.

Street trees or trees on Home Owner Association Property
