The City of Weston’s newsletter, The Weston Announcer was the proud recipient of the Florida Government Communicators Association’s 2005 Crystal Award (1st Place) in the External Publication category. The Weston Announcer was also the recipient of the 3CMA SAVVY Award (1st Place) for Best Newsletter in 2004, the 3CMA Silver Circle Award, Best Newsletter - External in 2002, the 3CMA Award of Excellence, Best Newsletter-residents in 2001 and the 3CMA Silver Circle Award, Best Newsletter-residents in 2000, at the annual 3CMA Savvy Awards.

In 2007, the Weston Announcer was awarded 2 nd place in the 13 th Annual Communicator Awards, in the Newsletter-Government category. In 2008 the Announcer received the 3CMA Award of Excellence (third place) in the national competition.

3CMA stands for City-County Communications and Marketing Association and represents over 700 cities and counties from across the nation. The annual Savvy Award honors outstanding local government achievements in communications and public sector marketing.
